I sold my 01 530 and 04 Dodge 1500 Quad cab Hemi and brought my X 5....Just brought a 96 Tacoma to hall stuff hated packing stuff in the back of the X.....glad I got the truck....5 grand 61,000 miles.....

Well, the thread was originally about 1/2 ton pickups, but what would be the point?.....
However, since the International corn harvester pickup conversion has been posted, take a look at a real pickup. Ford. Cat diesel power, and not the lightweight automotive Cummins 5.9B. Bring your wallets. http://www.f650pickups.com/indexb.html I saw a very restrained brand new Ti AG F650 crew cab (only had 4 doors, not 6) dual rear wheel pickup with Cat C7 power several weeks ago, going through a PDI process. Nice truck. I would take the 860 ft-lb option, with a 10 speed. If you are going to have a truck, you may as well shift for yourself. There are lots of other builders out there doing these, not sure who built the one I saw. |

Current pickup is an 00 F150 crew cab used in the winter for the parents and for towing the boats...Dad is looking at a bigger boat for this season if that happens we are going to get a bigger truck the 150 does not like his 23' if he gets anything bigger it is not going to be able to pull it
