I don't need to google "Michelle Rodriguez". I don't know her from Adam. There are lots of people who get special treatment. If they do then I'm happy for them.

What i'm focusing attention on is the fact that Ms. Hilton is much more in the limelight and in a position to do a lot of good as a human being for other young people. As far as I'm concerened this is a missed opportunity for her to show what she's made of. As usual though this whole thing seems to be nothing more than a charade. A photo opp. A sad but laughable commentary on what so many call pop culture.

if so, you might want to google Michelle Rodriguez, she's an actress on "Lost". She was sentenced to 60 days in LA jail for her DUI and spent 10 hours in jail. So in doing the math, Ms. Hilton actually spent a considerably longer time in the can and then received home confinement on top of it which Rodriquez didn't.

So in fact, she's getting punished more than one of her "peers" and more in line with the punishment that joe blow usa citizen would receive.

LOL...Just out.

She was cold and it was noisy. Her shrink got involved and had her released for medical reasons due to stress.

Give the B**ch a blanket and earplugs.

Rodriguez’s probation was extended until June, 2009, and her license was not suspended while she was got her DUI. She also had to perform community service, as well as get involved with MADD.

Im not saying this is right or that she should have been let out early. I mean hell when it comes down to it, if I could get out of it prob would try too. Who wouldnt?

Did you listen to the anouncment this morning about her being released? b/c it was hard on paris, and it changed her mentally was the reason for their decision. Jail/prison is supposed to be a deterrent, but I feel that they have turned it into a joke in paris's case.

I pitty anyone with children right now. I'd hate to have kids that look up to todays celeberties like paris.

She was "reassigned to the community-based alternative to custody electronic monitoring program."

Home confinement, in other words.

considering pedophiles, rapists, murderers and all sorts of other, serious crime felons, are often let out very early because of overcrowded jails, put on bracelets, etc. - I see no reason why Hilton shouldn't be considered for the same treatment.
-- Now there is room in the jail for dangerous criminals.. They made their point, she served a few days which is probably the appropriate amount of time x2 for her offense and she will be home shakled for the remainder.. JUSTICE served.. now stop hating and move on.

I just sent one in. Feel free to do so if what you think happened this morning was wrong.

Indeed, it is not unusual for low level offenders like Parisite Hilton to be released early. There are people who get sentenced to X days and wind up getting a "book and release" and never serve a part of a day. It does happen regularly. Michelle Rodriguez was probably advised by her lawyer to take "straight time" in jail (pardon the pun because supposedly she is gay), meaning going and being locked up, with full expectation that she would be booked and released with full credit for serving her sentence. It is a reality that most of us do not like and would like to change but it is what it is.

The thing that kind of concerns me is that LASD cited "medical issues" in her release. That just smacks of special treatment. Releasing someone because they refuse to eat the jail food is not "medical issues". If LASD had simply said that they were overcrowded and they needed to space I think people who be less incensed.

Incidentally, it should be clarified that, at least here in California, prison and jail are two very different things. Jail is where people awaiting trial and those serving under a year are housed. Usually those serving sentences in jail are misdemeanants or low level felony offenders. State prison is much worse and that's where those serving anywhere from 16 months to life without parole are housed. I've been to both on more than one occasion and I can tell you prison is a totally different ballgame. Don't ask why I was in those places. :p
