The sport may be back as an 08 but still say it is not long for the world.
Last year it was the "Oceana" XC90. Even the R which I had and liked is now history. It is all personal opinion but I like the general XC90 shape but the engine and steering did not deliver. The sales talk was all about safety which is well and good but try to find a 0-60 time listed in the sales info. I even figured the V8 being from the old SHO Tarus would have performance parts available but it has been rework enough by Yahama that it does not. |
i wanna have sex with that car

~ an update...
thursday... i ordered an '08 volvo sport xc90 in electric silver (exclusive color to the sport)... due to arrive in mid-october... i think this will make a nice suv for my wife... :p http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i9...1/DSCN2896.jpg volvo XC90 V8 'sport' (1 of 400 per year) ... i still haven't seen one on the road to date... final deal... lease... 36 mo/12k per yr... msrp $ 54,622... negotiated $12,500 off sticker... down to $675 (including tax) per month. just 1st payment down... satisfied. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i9...ax1/volvo4.jpg indeed no '08 X5 4.8 sport as i truly wanted (prior car '01 4.4 sport)... but can bring myself to over 1k per month on a payment. couple volvo positives... no premium fuel required & all-season tires on 19's. :p |
We had an XC90 for 2 years prior to getting the X5. The XC90 is "nice", but I found it a but uninspiring and boring. No gadgets at all... I'm not saying it was bad, but having driven one for two years and switching to the X5, the BMW is in a completely different league. The luxury and quality is just light years ahead of the Volvo (even the updated facelift '07 xc90). Still, it is a good car and I'm sure you'll love it :)
