Iphone question:

I just bought an Iphone. Haven't opened it from it's packaging yet.

I am currently an AT&T user (on a business plan) and have a Blackberry 8800 with SIM card and data plan.

Can't I just switch my sim card from the Blackberry into the Iphone?

Hmm, looks like iPhones don't do SIM:

The sim slot is on the top of the phone.. You need a paperclip to open it up..
At least, that is what was shown to me at the apple store.

Sims not activated via iTunes will not work.

Mickey,

I don't think I understand your response??

Are you saying, I can not just drop my SIM into the Iphone and have it work?
My SIM is already activated on my BB. So can't I just pop it in?

The phone has to be activated via iTunes with a SIM even if the SIM is a working SIM from a non-iphone. Simply popping in the card will not work.

Here are some pics from a link Quicksilver posted last week. You can see how the SIM card goes in. It is not intended to be removable by the user. Like everyone else stated, I've read that you cannot use another SIM car. Inside the iPhone:

The iPhone cannot work on a non-iPhone plan. The Blackberry plan will not work. You need an iPhone plan. Good news is that the iPhone plan is actually less expensive than your blackberry plan. But I don't think you can use an iPhone on a business plan.

now I just got to figure out how to switch my business phone over to a personal one.. What a PITA.. Is my business account not good enough for them?
