I think the X5 gauge is a bit off.

Mine is always in the high hundreds as well.

Or maybe it's just bloody hot! The gauge might be off a couple of degrees but that temperature was right on as compared to what weather.com had. Either way, 117, 119, 120, whatever it takes, it was too hot.

I seem to rember several comments, mainly from Chandler AZ, about it being a dry heat. How's that working out for you?? :D

It's a load of crap! When it's 119 it's just plain hot. Humidity wouldn't make it much worse. All it would do is make you feel like a greasy piece of bacon frying in a pan rather than just a shriveled up dry piece of bacon. Besides, it is getting more and more humid where I am. It's not 45 or 50% humidity but it's enough to feel good and sticky. We have about 120 golf courses out here so I am convinced that all of the sprinklers on those 120 golf courses plus those at all the residences create enough water vapor in the air to increase humidity. I say this because the humidity has been getting worse as the area grows. They told me when I moved here that it got hot and that it is a dry heat. They lied.

Yes, it does seem very unnatural and I ask myself the same thing but for me, it was work. I go where the job is. I went and stayed longer than I thought I would. The only saving grace is that for the 4 months of hellish heat we get 8 months of great weather in the mid to high 70's with sunshine everyday. That 8 months is all it takes to dupe us all into thinking the summers aren't so bad. :tsk:
