OT -
I read an article in Car and Driver (I think) last week that said the next generation vette might be midengine and there was a good possibility that the vette would be no more by 2012. EDIT: 2020. |
They would certainly need to do something..that kind of speed, style and AWD...man....unstoppable.

Not so fast sparky ;) You might want to google 2008 Corvette ZR1, or Corvette Blue Devil, or Corvette SS. 650HP Supercharged Engine. WIll be released as a 2009. http://www.motortrend.com/future/spi...ette_zr1_spied http://jalopnik.com/cars/detroit-aut...ver-296486.php http://blogs.motortrend.com/6215473/...zr1/index.html |
Those are selective models of the Corvette....how much more do they cost then the Z06?? I'm all for Vettes, don't get me wrong..but admit when you're beat.
It's like the guys on this board that think the X5 is built for the off-road  |

IMHO, they will NEVER build a mid-engine Corvette. The car you're referring to is a lower-priced version of the Vette, yet to be named etc, and yet to be spec'd. It was pure speculation by the publication. |
I also don't think Chevy would ever dump the Vette....that is an ICON for their label.
|
Wow..that car is sick..madness. And yes the Z06 is in for a long day when this new Skyline hits the streets...

on that same argument though, we can also state that the GT-R is a variant of a G35/G37 especially in the JDM market.
