Bush has made a mess of the Middle East; however, we can't ignore what is taking place in terms of the rise of Radical Islam. Show me one Democrat who is tough enough to handle our enemies and this growing threat.

If you think we can negotiate with Radical Fundamentalists don't bother responding.

Simple question, what would Rudi's platform be if we were not in a "war on terror"....I can't think of a single speaking point he would have. Nearly every comment he makes is one way or another traced back to 9/11. Maybe SECDEF is a better role for him.

Rudy is not a nice person, we can do better than that.

His standing before 9-11 was weak, yes he did help the city and reduce crime but he is a dictator not a leader.

One of his points that I like is holding the line on new taxes; and lowering others where possible. He understands that more money in my hands means more spending, that fuels more jobs to make what I buy, which feeds more spending from those new workrs, that fuels more jobs to make what the new workers buy, etc....

Rudy's platform regardless of the issues, is that he will do exactly what he says he will do. There's no guessing will he or won't he, you can take him at his word.

Sticking to 1 side of an issue is so anathema to the other candidates, if anyone in this country ever realizes he's a man of his word he'll win in a landslide.

If you agree with Rudy's platform, you've got a great candidate that you can trust, if you don't agree, that's up to you, you've got other choices, but for anyone who is in Rudy's camp, you've got the best of both worlds, you agree with what he wants to do, and he'll actually do it.

Consider the task of taking what was once the crime capital of the country to the safest large city in America. He did this by taking on the top crime bosses down to the simple street thug and transformed New York into what we have today.

Another plus or minus depending on your viewpoint is his middle of the road social positions. His moderate stance on these issues makes him electable in the face of a Hillary candidacy following the hated George Bush era.

Lastly, his fiscal conservatism keeps this Nation on the right track of lower taxes while the Democrats control both houses and we are faced with the prospect of Hillary and her Health Care Handout and Obama we can spend our way into prosperity.

Oh yean...There is that small detail of the war on terror still going on and I can't think of anyone better to stand up to the dangers we face on an ongoing basis in light of events in the Middle East.

Yes, of course things went so well in Lebenon.

As far as I can remember, that was our only military action in the Middle East under Reagan.

Yes, we did bomb Libya once. And yes, we did sell arms to Iran (if that counts as the "Middle East").

I think most here would agree that Rudy would make a good Attorney General. But I don't know about President.
