I followed that story from the beginning.

F***ing insane.

The problem is that it's hard to prosecute someone for murder when you don't have a body. It leaves doubt as to if the person is actually dead. Had the deal not been made, there is a fair chance he would have walked.

Maybe someone in the prison shower will do society a favor.

Good, so can we fire all the detectives then since they apparently couldn't have found the body with out him.....

BS....they should have done their job. He didn't only kill her, he cut her head off which alone should have over-ruled anything and given him death IMO.

With the quality of life that this guy will have in the kind of prison he is going to, I'm not sure if death is any worse of a punishment.

So, has anyone ever do a study how much a person cost while they sit in jail vs the amount it cost to sentence for the death penalty?

I was called up for a jury selection in California where the convicted multiple murderer (and mutilator of young girls), who was on death row, claimed that he had gone insane in prison. If, in the upcoming trial, he was found to be insane, he could not be executed.

I told the judge that I did not care whether the murderer was now insane or not --- that I wanted the murderer to be put to death. The judge got really mad with me and threatened me with "contempt of court". I got excluded from that jury selection though....

Yes. Death penalty is much more expensive and usually costs millions if the individual takes advantage of all of their consitutional rights to appeal, which is usually what happens.

Yes, I thought the same Wags but they think he is tied to two other very similar deaths and more than likely will not waive it then.
