Domo, my BFAM!

I tried Firefox. It crashes as much as IE does.

I defragged, (which I do regularly), rebooted, and cruised around the net;
my Son had sent me that funny "Bad Day at the Office" vid, which I watched
and then C&P'd into a thread here on the Board. I had diminished the vid site,
and when I went to X it out, up popped another of those rectangle warning/info boxes.

This box said the same crap and annotated:
"0x02a338ae", can't read ref'd memory "0x02b139e4"

It's not like I'm scanning the skin flick sites...maybe it's all the weird sites SoccerDad puts up, lol!

NEway, cache cleared, spyware knocked off, outlook express compacted, defragged, rebooted and...
It's Back!

Not a crash, as I just click on one of the two options:
"OK to terminate" or "Cancel to debug". Debug, yeah right, lol!

No biggie. I can live with the quirk. Was jes' wondering.

None of those articles really enlightened me, or solved the occasional
glitch I'm having. The Softie link is aimed at Windows 2000 and none
of the ancillary points really hit on my condition of glitch. I read them
all though and appreciate it. But, I'm going to keep digging in the Softie
Tech site to see if I can find any topic on my exact error message code(s)
that I have seen on my 'puter; their help site makes my hair hurt, reading it,
and I can read as well as anyone I know, lol!

It is a recently occurring, occasional glitch that doesn't seem to really alter or
affect my 'puter. And, it never crashes or restarts when I click the terminate
or the cancel option.

As for Opera: I have it on both 'puters and occasionally fiddle with it;
I went to it for considerable usage on our Mtn house 'puter when I was
having so many quirks on that machine this past summer and fall.

I find it to be more elegant; I don't find it to be more "helpful", smoother
running or any of the other FABs the users rave about.
NEway, thanks again all...it, the glitch, is thus far no biggie. I was just
curious.

Guess what MD.... I just shut down my laptop and lo and behold, I got a memory exception error.

Must be a bug in one of the new patches from MS.

If I find out how to fix it I'll let you know.

Here is something you might want to consider.

A while back I had a similar problem with my Dell laptop, called Dell support and they quickly said that it was a problem with Norton/Symantic antivirus I had on my system, sent me to Symantic site for fix, installed it and problem went away.

I just got a memory bit error and it does not recognize 2 of the DIMMs.
