I agree with the non apology part but as for the "not the first time his wife has made him sleep on the couch" statement: there is no tangible evidence in that regard as of yet so i will reserve judgement.

As far as the statement "His wife can't be too much of a victim if she's still married to the moron." Who knows what her intention was or how this is going to end but i don't believe anyone would like to be in her shoes or in the position that the rest of the family is in.

One can only be sympathetic for those who must endure the fallout of his bad judgement.

Don't get me wrong - I am certainly NOT defending the jerk. He deserves whatever happens to him.

My larger point about his wife is that I don't think she can possibly be as innocent a victim as one might think. She's married to a professional politician who has had a lengthy career, which immediately means she has had to "act the part" to further his political aspirations.

All in all, yeah, it's a sad situation. But just as with Hillary and Bill, dalliances don't necessarily mean the end of the marriage.

And as I also said, we'll have to see how this plays out.
