From what I heard, it's a Federal case, the monetary issue of potential laundering or stacking. But prostitution is not a federal crime, it's a state or local crime.

So don't expect to see her arrested..

Btw, did you know that states like California have a 50/50 law. That prostitution is 50% mans fault, 50% woman's fault (i'm paraphrasing) but in NY the law was balanced against women who bore the brunt of the prostitution charges. But Spitzer was the one who fought to have the law changed so now men would be equally responsible like in California, 50/50.

I don't know if I would call it irony. I think it's more to do with ego. Some people in power think that THEY will never be caught or he could have felt that the laws did not apply to HIM...

They were playing her music from her myspace page on the radio all day today, and it's actually not bad.

On WABC Radio this morning, Curtis Sliwa had a reporter on the street in Times Square telling random people that if they put on a set of headphones, listened to a song, and could guess who the singer was, they would win $5,000. Guesses ranged from Beyonce, Brittney Spears, Christina Aguilera, etc. It was pretty funny.
