Remove your piercing to board the plane..

This is BS!
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080327/...s/nipple_rings

I never had these issues when I've traveled, and never seen this before.

The fact that they made this chick remove her nipple ring is ridiculous.

People who do this off the wall stuff do it for the attention. Well, she got the attention she was looking for!

Are you kidding me Lam  I'm not a piercing fan but what the hell does that have to do with anything. She deserved it because she has her nipples pierced? You've been up in the wilderness too long...

This is BS! and is along the same lines as the woman who was forced to remove her underwire bra to enter a courthouse. It's either an abuse of power or sheer stupidity on the part of the TSA. Let me say that I have no problem with being screened for the sake of security but lets use a little common sense. She offered to let a female inspect the piercings

Hamlin said she could not remove them and asked whether she could instead display her pierced breasts in private to the female agent. But several other male officers told her she could not board her flight until the jewelry was out, she said.

What did she do with the piercings after they were removed, carry them on the plane I imagine. Seems to me she has less chance of poking someones eyes out if the piercings are still stuck in her nipples.

Strange part is they let her keep her belly button piercing intact. As for piercings and pierced nipples specifically. I'd prefer my wife not have them; however, I prefer my girlfriend did.

JOKE! My wife would punch me in the jaw if she read this forum.

I half agree w/Lam on this one, but still stoopid making her remove them...

GUINNESS 03-28-2008 12:35 PM

If anyone remotely agrees with Lam, you need your friggin head examined. Do women or men remove earrings? No. Do they remove nose rings? No. Tongue rings? Eyebrow? Lip? Christ... the TSA didn't do a damn thing about the woman's belly button ring!!! Cut me a break. Deserved it my ass. Clear abuse of power or the guys were flat out being douches in hopes to get their jollies off. They deserve to be suspended or fired.

You too Jay  The piercings are under her clothes. No one knows they are there unless....

So how is she looking for attention?

+2...

TSA, great idea...staffed by egomaniacal, ex-MickeyD workers, "managed" by gov't bureaucrat idiots, imo.
"Lead" by Chertoff and the HLS crew.
