The reason it is unusual is becuase I'm a corporate lawyer. I understand that auditors often use purple to signify something... Don't know what. I just wanted a colour that would stand out!

I don't have that typical lefthanded style where one curls the elbow around up to the top of the page. For some reason, I just write like a righty... only lefty.

The inks these days are way better than they used to be. Waterman and Pelikan ink (which I think are probably identical) are waterbased. they dry quickly but can smudge if you have the normal lefty style. But best of all if you stain... let's say the cap falls off and you have a nerdy like ink stain... they usually wash out just fine.
