Yes, but you did it correctly. The US gallon is 5/6 of the Imperial gallon, so it costs less for a US gallon, not more.

Scottie should have arrived at $8.08 US per US gallon, using her exchange rate and pump price.

Anyway they day will come when oil reserves all dry up and then the world economy’s will be a very different story.

Well that doesn't quite equate now does it, again...double or triple your previous price and then you'll be in the same boat....I wish ours only went up 25%.

Yea, milk is also so expensive. However $4,50 only gets you a salad at our school's overpriced cafeteria.

As for premium gasoline, that was $3.399/1 gallon in Fredericksburg, VA on the way home.

M, did you ever do some arith on that $4.50 salad?

Most ingredients grown outside of US, or in a few deep south states, this time of year...
Picked by those damn pesky illegals we all want sent "home", , delivered to a packing
house by trucks that burn diesel, washed, packed, delivered to a food broker or three along
the way, delivered to your school, (all those deliveries are by diesel burning trucks), and
served by people making something above the min wage.

What do you think milk or that salad ought to "cost" you? ;)
