Lol....sad to see it go...my dad is taking it....would not stop pestering me for it...so in about six months it will be filty and have at least one dent....oh well.

I tell you one thing...they DO NOT BREAK...nothing...not one thing in four years except one set or parking bulbs...and that was because of the salt up here. The contact points got corroded.

 !!! My dogs shed alot but i can live with it! The only problem is that they seem to think they're human! I'm seriously considering getting a third one and this too is becoming a problem

I think about another one all the time...it is just my wife get so attached to them that I just cringe thinking about her mourning period if something should happen. Not to mention he has wormed his way in on me pretty good as well.

We vacuum just about every other day and built our new house very pet friendly...lots of tile on the floors, only hardwoods in the dinning room, light color on the rugs and tile...so I could do it,.... but......I dunno...I hear one or two is just about the same...getting a third?!....you are brave!

I love dogs... have had them all my life. My neighbor has a boxer and she's a wonderful dog. She follows the (neighbor's) kids everywhere, and if the kids go to some other kid's house, she'll sit outside that house and wait for them to come out. Incredibly sweet, wonderful dog. If she's out and about when I come home from work, she comes strolling to me to pet her.

You guys talk about boxer mannerisms and temperament. What IS a boxer mannerism and/or temperament? I don't know much about boxers.

Well Juan,

Let me start out by telling you that my dad always brought home Huskies and Wolf mixes...BEAUTIFUL dogs, but not as interactive. My wife first intro'ed me to boxers back in the mid 90s. She had a female named ZIMA...(yep after the beverage); she was a white one as well. The first thing that stuck out to me was how the LOYAL Boxer was....you give em all the love you got and they give it right back. I have never seen anything like it. They always have to be around you. In the office...under the desk...in the kitchen....he is in front of the sink.... boxers think that they are just like you, but walk on all four.

Now...I am talking about raising them from puppies from good breeder...what I mean by good is they are not matting sons and mothers or siblings, they go out and find studs and that sort. Anyway...most boxers all do this....stare outside all day....like 80 year old nosey men. Most of them love to play....my guy loves to power nap...play...power nap play....most Boxers are very trainable. All they need is consistency. Once they know where they stand in the pack order they very rarely challenge for the top.

My in-laws have a German Sheppard that is bonkers...out of control...I have a friend that is professional dog trainer and he says breed like Sheppard’s are tough to break because they form their own opinions on things. However, once trained they are outstanding, but if the guardian of the animal is not willing to take the time to help the dog reach that level it is unfair to everyone.

Boxers also like to use their paws to communicate. Especially at play…he rears up quite a bit, but not to people, not after he was trained anyway. The most important thing that I notice about the two Boxers that I have been with and other Boxer owners will tell you this. They are always in the same mood. They are the biggest babies. They love everyone unless someone give them a reason not to by acting in a threatening manner or such.

I am sure that most dog lovers will say that their best friend acts the same way, but there is just something about the Boxer that is unexplainable. I thought it was all b.s., but then I got one….I have the privilege of being Neo’s guardian…and because of him I will never have another breed. So if your thinking about one there are rescues and such. Do a google on Boxers...you will find some good stuff.

Oh yeah...he does not drool...not unless I am eating a steak in front of him.

Yes, now that the pic is better, we can all see that Lexus in the background. It has gotta go!
