somebody better PM barry a screenshot of his posts.

see, the point is that we can control what you see, read, and hear.

but a trace of the truth remains.

you can wipe out the post, but you can't wipe out its remains....

(actually, we can, but not from the way back machine).

the point is, why hide something (whether true or not), unless you have something to hide?

LeMansX5 06-12-2008 11:24 PM

Obama and Osama do rhyme.

Drex.

I believe most of us already know that information can be removed from web sites by the owner/administrator/mods who have control of web sites. That's not rocket science or even news for that matter. And as you have just demonstrated (by removing my posts) the reason for doing so doesn't have to be conspiracy motivated. So in that sense people can control what you see, read, and hear. But unless a reason is given for the removal of information, all anyone is left with is an opinion or conclusion formed on the basis of incomplete information.

So it seems to me the answer to the question; "Can someone explain why this page was removed"? is very simple. Someone just like you decided for whatever reason, they wanted to, and so they did. End of story.

I think exactly the same thing.

A family member of mine is very involved with an organization called COPA, which is made up of mostly investigative journalists. A big part of their information is gotten from FOIA requests. And as you can guess, 99% of their requests are always denied, even though most of the information they request is from the 1960s.

I must be sleeping during the lecture or, really getting older...

I don't get DrDrex's point, or some of the other "points", here.

Some wacko/jokester/idiot/dogooder/whatever, puts up a
"We Support Obama" thank you note, "signed" by a murderous
jihad group, it gets taken down, and everyone thinks of the
grassy knoll. And, the suggestion is, Obama was really supported
by this group of gutless murderers, it was taken down to protect
Obama or his supporters, and thus, we "see" the power of the
Edit/Delete function vis a vis the internet, and/or we should all
really consider Obama as a threat to the US, etc.

These mile-wide, innuendo driven leaps, are pretty remarkable, imo.

What the hell am I missing here?

:iagree: This would've been a good April 1 thread.
