Already, Barack?
Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama said on Friday he expects Republicans to highlight the fact that he is black as part of an effort to make voters afraid of him.

I guess he says let me bet them to the punch. If they do after his comments it will be an "I told you so"

He's only black when it helps him.
He's running a commercial in the St. Louis suburbs that shows him during several aspects of his life - growing up in school with with white friends; posing with his white mommy, posing with his white grandparents; greeting the whities at his pep rallies... I betcha that same commercial shows all blacks when it's shown in a largely black demographic area. Not only is he a puppet; he's a chameleon. |
No Obama supporter here but looking at him i believe it would very difficult for him to claim to be anything else.

Integrity in a political election??
Sine when does politics have an ounce of integrity? No one should be upset about anything that politicians do. It's par for the course. Case in point..... McCain is no angel, either. Remember when he allegedly used public funds as backup to apply for a loan, and then tried immediately to withdraw from the public funding system? (Attempting to escape, ironically, from the very system he helped set up.) The outraged Dems filed suit shortly thereafter. The Federal Election Commission, lacking quorum, couldn't do much about it, either — which probably suited McCain just fine. That incident aside, there are plenty of other loopholes that allow the private sector to creep in. So playing the integrity card is about as weak an argument as anyone can use regarding this issue and just about anything else regarding politics. |
I honestly believe that McCain himself will not condone or tolerate this type of campaigning. However, with the 527's, I guarantee you will see those type of attack ads. Frankly, there is nothing McCain himself could do to stop them. That is what Obama was referring to.

SCREW OBAMA.
I think Conde should run for VP. And, I would most definately vote for her for President, over the 'half and half'. Imagine that. A GOP Right wing voting for a BLACK FEMALE. What everyone doesn't understand, its not that he's black. It's that he's OBAMA. That black versus white thing won't matter and will not cut the mustard, guys. Imagine how funny it will be when no ads come out (527s) bringing that up, and he's the only one bringing it up. He's the one stirring the pot. How funny -- look who's calling the kettle black. |
