Got a 24'' iMac myself, I dont do any kind of photo editing or any artsie stuff, it was more like an impulse buy than anything but I would never get another PC

I am typing this on a new 24" iMac. I think the computer is great and would recommend it to anyone, especially someone looking to deal with graphics.

imac's have plenty of power to do what you need and more. I say go for it.

Okay guys/girls - y'all talked me into it. 24" iMac 3.0GHz w/ extra monitor, will be on order with discounts from cool X5world "new friends."

And payday tomorrow, would you know it? Now to figure out softwares...I will be geting the Adobe Elements 6 but, what other programs? I have the Nikon D80, should I purchase the Nikon Capture NX or the Adobe lightroom which Last5oh (G Baylon) uses? After, I have this all set up will pick up the MacBook Pro in the future...still have this crappy Dell laptop for work.

Have you been to the Apple store yet?

Yes - I am a nerd! can't miss those stores! I been to the NYC Apple store in Times Square and mall store here at King of Prussia. I started out as an Apple guy and lost my way. Built my own gaming PC for years but, never driven 150mph down L.I. expressway (j/k).

But, then this art stuff got me going and what I heard from my brother and sister I should go with Apple. So, like a dumb (electrical engineer - can't spell gEEk without a double E) jock I want a starter set-up which I can grow. I have played with the 24in iMac but, didn't know that they offered the 3GHz box. Guess, I just needed an excuse and y'all are my excuse to go back with Apple.

Please do and when you go drain their brain but don't buy any software until you have done your research. Just take a load of notes
