BLITZER: "You simply get chills every time you see these poor individuals, as Jack Cafferty just pointed out, so tragically, so many of these people, almost all of them that we see, are so poor and they are so black, and this is going to raise lots of questions for people who are watching this story unfold."

the liberals are desperate to make this a race issue - I keep seeing all those school & city buses parked at their storage facilities and ask why the mayor did not use them to move out those without transportation?

Yup... the mayor has a LOT of blame to share in all of this. You're right -- I saw the same pictures of school and city buses and wondered the same thing. By the way, not ALL liberals are desperate to make this a race issue. :)

Its all about the blame someone else crowd. To "act" requires insight and vision. Its much easier to blame someone else for your lack of planning....and since we have a very heavily left biased media...people are giving these clowns airtime. The Mayor of N.O. needs to resign and save face...what a useless excuse for a human.

Blitzer is an idiot. He can't get a single fact correct and often ends up offending large populations of people. Much like Larry King with his witty comments... Now, an eagle, that's an animal right? Or asking the Dali Lama if he's Hindu... what an idiot - I think they're both (Blitzer and King) right up there in idiotville together.

They are all idiots if you ask me, the time of fair news reporting has been over for years, now it's all about show host commentaries and opinions and boosting ratings to get the advertising money (I should know I work for the TV industry). Everything is either grossly exagerated or distorted, modeled after reality shows really... it's a shame!
Also, not sure about the Liberal comment... But I do think that news shows make it a point to turn people against eachother, in effect making stories that don't really exist by taking sound bytes taken out of context, and using powerfull editing technics then add a few very strong adjectives and you have a great story. Trust me, years ago I have seen first hand how reporters get stories... I was shocked.

The last time i checked, the US Coast Guard is federal and they were there on site picking people off of rooftops in 70MPH winds on the day that the storm hit, but then again, it's too easy to forget that because it doesn't fit the liberal agenda. (don't get me wrong, aid could have been planned better, but the blind bashing and blame game is out of control)
