Stevens was no angel but he wasn't what i would consider dirty either. Dave Schulz, now HE was dirty.

Perhaps dirty was the wrong word. I remember Stevens was a tempermental player, and if you hit him hard, he'd go nuts and jump you. Last year they showed Rangers Classics on MSG and I watched the Rangers-Caps 1986 playoff series. Stevens was just a young tike then, and the broadcasters kept talking about Stevens' temper and his toughness and his fighting and all of that. He was a young player @ that point making his name. He was not dirty in the stick foul kind of way. Just an all around SOB that I wished was wearing my team's sweater! :thumbup:
