Roth vodka and tonic - hold the tonic. :)
|
I had an alcoholic, wealthy boss who took me out to expensive dinners a few times. Once or twice we hit 4-figures in wine costs. Then, he went to AA and that was that. All for the best, of course.
But, I still remember the wine. Just fabulous. I have adapted back to the real world of the under-$20 aisle and cocktails when we go out, not that often. I did have a great original formula 1944 Mai Tai. Love Mojitos and had a great Sidecar a while back. I would be in trouble if I was rich... |
OK, for all of you vodka drinkers, I have found a gym in the rough. I typically am the all-beer guy of the group - hard liquor is just not for me. But a few years ago a patron of a liquor store recommended a particular brand of vodka that the owner of the store had suggested - Tito's Vodka. It is a Texas vodka, distilled 5 times!!!! I mix this stuff with Tropicana Diet Lemonade and the $#!t is awesome - and hardly any calories!!!! In fact it took me 15 minutes to type this message because I have had a couple of these tonight!!!

It takes a one-mile walk to burn 100 calories. And it is not recommended to have 20 cocktails and then not eat to compensate. |

A great summer brew for all is an adHoc Tea, Steep in 2 qts (BOILING WATER) 5 minutes fresh mint (1 oz) 1/2 fresh vanilla bean, split 2 stalks lemongrass, crushed add just enough sugar to balance it out and chill; serve over ice. VOILA...... :mmm: |
