I have seen many Benz's with AMG on the truck and it wasn't a 63(C63, E63, S63) class car.

Chances are those are people slapping the AMG badge on after purchase. There are a lot of Benz owners that buy for status and if they can't afford a real AMG they add the badge themselves to look like ballers. I would bet all the MB's you see that aren't 63's, 55's are fakes. Unless someone can tell me positively otherwise, I don't see MB putting the AMG badge on a regular series car. That would cheapen the AMG brand.

:iagree: ..Plus its like, If they just left their Benz as is (C350 or whatever) Whats wrong with that? Its a decent ride. I'd give way more respect to them if they left it as is. Instead, they slap the AMG badge on and aren't fooling anybody. That doesn't make them look like a baller...It only makes that person look like a fool...

Anybody else see this type of stuff?

I've seen the ///M3 badge slapped on a 3-Series sedan here in Korea. The M3 Sedan isn't coming to Korea, I was wowed that someone was 'rich' enough to bring one over from the States. To put into perspective, a loaded (no sports package) 335i here costs $93,000 USD (w/o taxes).

The one I saw here was made worse because I think it was a 320i (4 banger). The most common 3er here. My co-worker, who was in the car at the time, asked "It's not a real M3".

The only people he aims to impress, if any (and I'm sure he's probably one of them) are badgewhores. The ones who look at the blue and white propellers, the silver arrow, four rings, standing horse, etc. and nothing else.

In your case, the AMG badge will go great with his Luis Vitton bag, Armoni suit, and S.Feragamos shoes.

Even the mother ship commits this 'crime' ....the M-sport option from BMW Europe for certain models comes with M badging on the steering wheel, wheels, etc.

i can go with an M badge on an X....I mean it's not you are trying to full anyone...most people know that there is no M X5 ... but the 3er, 5er are a different thing.
