Getting sick of the Fakes!!
 

So I'm driving today and I see a new C class Benz riding my ass (not really but he was close to me) I'm doin about 80mph on the freeway (speed limit is 70) and he passes me. As he passes me i burst out in laughter as I see his C350 ///AMG badge on his car. Ridiculous. If you're gonna put a fake AMG badge on your Benzo, be sure to at least get the rest of the correct Alpha numeric badges like C63 ///AMG. Even then we can still tell its fake unless the correct body upgrades are done too. What a chump...I must've seen at least 3 different Benz's like this in the last 10 days...I've never seen a BMW with an ///M3 badge slapped on a 3 series...

Anybody else see this type of stuff?

Yeah, like one customer I have that has a frickin E30 with alpina and v12 emblems all over it... I must have replaced this idiots oil pan and pump about 6 times in the last 4 years from him pulling over parking bumps etc. Some people just have no common sense.

It's possible to have the AMG package on a Benz without getting the full tuning kit. Mercedes does offer the package so someone doesn't have to spend the cheese for a C63. I believe it's just wheels and suspension. I'm not a Benz fan but this is a nice option. Even BMW does this to some degree. ///M sports are offered throughout the lineup. So, just maybe this person wasn't a posser.............Phil

Are you sure that is an option for hte C-Class? I couldn't find it anywhere. I see you can chose the AMG wheels, but I don't see where the AMG suspension is an option. I don't think that MB would throw an AMG badge on a regular C-Class even if this option was available and equipped. This sounds like the guy bought the badge and stuck it on himself. BMW wouldn't put an ///M on the back of a 535i or an X3 with the M-sport package. I know it is plastered all around the interior, but not on the deck lid.

I hate when people add an ///M or AMG badge to regular cars. Trust me, BMW owners do this as well. There are plenty of people here who have an M on the back of their X5. Drives me crazy. I have even seen a 740i with an ///M on the back. :rofl:

I have M3 wheels on my e36 325i, but I would never put an ///M on the trunk. Way too fake.

Thats correct. MB will not put an AMG badge on the back of any of their cars unless it is a true AMG...This tool slapped the badge on the back of his trunk and thought flooring it would do the trick....some people...

Yeah, I also regularly see "M" 525i, "M" 325i, etc. like when people spend the money for a full facelift, including fenders, to make their E60 525i look like an M5. But that V10 sound will never emit from your 6 cyl. exhaust with fake pipes hanging on the other side to emulate having dual exhaust... "why does only the left side tips get dirty?" idiots

I have seen many Benz's with AMG on the truck and it wasn't a 63(C63, E63, S63) class car. I'm not sure if MB has changed it's posture on the AMG line-up. I've gotta believe that every AMG I see is not a posser. At the end of the day, you gotta remember, it's their car and if modding the trunk helps them sleep better, don't disturb their groove ;) .......Phil

At times, I so feel like putting a "Hybrid Synergy Drive" sticker on my 996 and I bet that would confuse a lot of people.

Yesterday at a stoplight, I pulled up behind a Civic coupe with the hybrid badge from the Civic sedan. I thought about it for a minute, and was like "Wait a second, there ain't such thing as a Civic coupe Hybrid! That guy is such a tool........there is only a Civic sedan Hybrid sold worldwide. Plus, the coupe was developed in the US for the NA market only......." :rofl:
