I meant the Lenovo laptop, not the company itself. I'm aware both Thinkpad and Lenovo are made by the same company called Lenovo, which is a Chinese firm.

I don't know about you, but I heard only good things about the Latitude line...:dunno:

I've been in the IT business for over 20 years, trust me, i've got first hand experience with Dell laptops. Steer clear.

Thanks all;

Funny thing. I've been trying to get a computer someone
turns in to their company after they get a new one but
I'm finding out few corporations do that anymore so there's slim pickens
in the used dept. But the consensus around here seems to be
Lenovo so I'll take a look at what they have.

I'm still going to try to stay within the specs i outlined though.

As I suggested already, look at DealNews.com. They have a Lenovo or two listed...

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind when I shop for a laptop in the future.

Okay Barry!
I have a IBM/Lenovo tablet laptop; weighs about 2 1/2" lbs. It is just an awesome laptop. Not sure if you want to spend $2K.

But check this out: It has a dedicated VC and LED back lit display.

If you just wanna fool around on a laptop, just go to Best Buy and buy the one with the best specs for the best $. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

:iagree:

Plus, I heard from some people that ThinkPad's quality has slipped since Lenovo took over. I wouldn't trust a Chinese company too much...

Ok here's the update. I tried everything i could to avoid
this choice but alas Apple made me do it.

It' a MacBook pro 2.4 Intel Core 2 Duo with VM ware installed
and XP professional. Now i can remove Windows from my desktop.

My expanding Studio required portability and since Apple
decided to remove a needed firewire port from their
new MacBook pro i decided to get this one instead.

$1550.00 bucks with a $150 rebate.
