Believe me, he was more than just "contained". He took a good few to the body in the middle of that inital "huddle" :boxer:

Most of the video shown on the tube omitted that part...

It is sad indeed. Not how we want our Presidents or any President for that matter to be treated.
I am glad he wasn't hurt.

in the article i read...it said there was "a fresh trail of blood" where they dragged the dude out...

those arabs are problems when they aren't in sandles...

(the shoe bomber...the shoe thrower)

red flag them if they aren't in their traditional footwear.

:iagree:

So the guy threw a show to protest...big deal...I am sure W would get the same kind of treatment from people here that actually despise him far more than some Iraqi journalist...

wake up people is just a protest not a national security matter...But he did handle it well

I would've been tempted to grab one of the body guards guns and shoot the as*hole who threw the shoe

Actually, someone needs to throw some shoes to the Democratic Governor Blagojevich!!! :D Also, I think you need to change your avatar in light what's going on in Illinois....

Both parties are corrupt. It's our system of mixing private enterprise with government spending. It encourages corruption.

With regard to the current scandal, just think about this: What is more appauling....the fact that the governor was trying to get paid millions of dollars for his appointing someone to the vacant Senate Seat, or that a line would probably form of people ready to pay millions of dollars for that seat.

Why is a Senate seat worth millions? Why do large corporations donate millions of dollars to political campaigns? Are they just dumb, or do they know that they will get a large return on their investment? And if they do get a return on their investment, isn't that corruption by definition?

I am more inclined to believe that selling senate appointments is the rule rather than the exception, and this moron just happened to get caught.
