This year will be a drag around my family's house. My sisters have been hit by the recession (me too, but in a different sort of way), so they are pulling the old "let's not exchange gifts this year" thing. I hate that.

But, we are moving to a new house on the 27th. So, for my immediate family, Christmas for my kids is things like new bedroom furniture (crap that stuff is expensive), bedding stuff (ditto), and the like. We haven't decorated, because we'll have to box all up on Christmas anyways.

I will probably have Santa bring us a pool table or a ping-pong table or something fun, though, just so everyone doesn't feel totally ripped off.

I'd say a new house is a pretty cool Christmas present. :)

Shopping was finished earlier this week.

Decorations were up two weeks ago (they come down on January 1)

It was -13 in Vancouver on the way to work this morning. A couple of snowfalls already, and it looks like we will have a white Christmas for a change.

Bought two new sets of Blizzak WS60 tires for our daughters, and got them installed before the snow arrived.

Got to try my new Honda snowblower (hydrostatic track drive) this week.

Definitely ready for Christmas, and winter.

i never got this much stuff when i was a kid.

my son and nephew are overstocked...i mean..it's ridiculous.
