Here is a few pictures - its just a few trains running on my test-track so nothing spectacular. Also our basement is not well lit and the pictures suffer from it.
The Allegheny, the bigger of the two locomotives, is a Rivarossi Model and like all things Italien it came with faulty wiring so I was particularly pleased that I was able to fix it :) |
Very cool. I hope your Dad isn't planning on moving any time soon.
Sorry, but my appreciation for model trains has been tainted by watching last season's CSI miniature killer episodes. |
Nice 'big boy' ravenheart! When Lionel made those for O gauge I wanted to get one.... then I saw they were roughly $1800 - 2000 just for the engine/tender.
Laura, thanks! I'll definitely have to keep that in mind. |

Hehe - I mean no disrespect to Italy or Italiens in general - only the electricians

Oh cool... thanks for the lesson :) I was under the impression that all the '2-6-6-4s' were in essence Big Boy's to haul coal over the Appalachians. I think B&O had them... can't remember the details. All I know is I fell in love with them when Lionel released them in ~1998 and cried when I saw it was $1800. Well, this thread is full of cool layouts... I can just show pictures of boxes or trains sitting on boxes. |
