Then again, I'm not in an environment where we're all hyper sensitive about harassment. We have rules but we're pretty much no holds barred in spite of them. |

Very, very simply. He can claim anything he wants, it is his word vs hers and the company that employees him could easily state her harassment without due paperwork and historic trail of complaint to corporate was a bias one person account that in turn caused damage to the company and the individual. Very easy to claim via HR if the appropriate history isn't created. Report the issue to the company. If nothing changes, make a comment. Then at least you have a history of the issue. It is VERY simple to put notes in place that make it 'ok' to complain. But going directly to the source, who is not employed by you, is problematic. |

all the good qualities he has. What a good salesman he is what a nice person he is, ect ect. Then say there is just one thing that concerns us and that is..... |
You don't know why he's bathing in it..
Maybe he's covering something else.. Like some really bad B.O. that is beyond his control.. So he figures, shower in cologne. |

Ultimately though, if he did complain and his company had a beef they would definitely lose a client quicker than he could say "Drakkar Noire". |

Also, isn't a non witnessed, non recorded, private conversation moot in an evidenciary situation? He said, she said? |

Cmyx5go, just pull him aside and tell him. No games or BS, just an honest comment in a friendly manner. He will thank you later. :iagree: |

The business I did with his previous employer was pretty much auto-pilot. He'd just pop in every now and then. He has since changed jobs and is working for a company I've never done business with before and is trying to get set up as a new vendor. Actually, he was here about 6 months ago and never followed up. I don't know anyone within the company and I'm not sure I'm comfortable making a complaint. It's no skin off my back, but it's so damn offensive. I never even thought of the harrassment side of it (which is bullshit! I hate this PC stuff) I guess I'll just keep my mouth shut and hope his follow up is as good as it was the last time  Or maybe he won't meet my criteria for becoming a new vendor. That's the ticket :D I own the joint, I can do that. |

Seriously, just ask the guy how much he weighs, then ask if that number is before or after he puts on his cologne. See what he says. |
