Eh, I should have known that most would look past the issue and take sides.

Still do not understand the purpose of posting publicly  What help did you think that was going to bring you?

:iagree:

RPX5-I think you could and should have resolved this without posting something. Furthermore he has accepted his share of the blame (whether or NOT it's placed correctly but I will refrain from sharing my personal opinion) and now it's time for you to act mature and move on with your life.

I agree!
His story fell apart when we learned that "he" didn't open the envelope, and that it was thrown down a flight of stairs.

I got a response plus resolution... no? It was more than 5 days since I last hear from the seller.

It isn't like I came on here putting the seller blast, I was pretty respectful about it, no?

I didn't want to risk this slipping by without a resolution, and it was 5 days since I last heard from the seller.

I felt my public inquiry, so to speak, would get a resolution more quickly, and it did. I leave later this afternoon for a 3 day loop around New England (absolute main reason for buying the Dice), and I have no adapter. I'll order one from a respected vendor here (wish I did it to begin with) and have it set up for my next road trip.

I shouldn't have to defend myself and why I posted publicly. I don't know the seller personally, and it was a very shady situation from my standpoint. I posted so all who know the seller would weigh in and possibly help towards a resolution.

Unfortunately, my plan backfired and everyone is here attacking my action.

I got my resolution, but still out $16 (shipping I'm paying for the WIRES).

I will say this, I have been respectful, I'll cut my $16 losses and get a new adapter one from a respected retail vendor.

Flight of stairs = stairs with landing + desk where all my mail is put (including this package). I can take a picture if you'd like, it isn't as violent as you're making it out to be.

Starting a business is tough and to save money I moved back in with dad.

We share a name, sometimes he opens my mail accidentally, and normally puts it all back in the envelope and tosses it on the desk.

I find it later on, and go about my life normally.

If there was an adapter in the envelope, and it happened to fall out, there really isn't anywhere for it to go except on the floor, maybe in a corner, or under a desk (would be very easy to spot the gray adapter on hard wood floor). I looked there, plus the pathway to the stairs, under the stairs even on my fathers kitchen counter... no adapter around... my father isn't a dumb man, if he saw an important looking gray box in an envelope addressed to me, he would figure it was something I had ordered and put it all back where he found it.

Maybe I should get a secretary?? We'll see how business goes this season.

Who is acting immature, I'm simply explaining my reasoning here while everyone attacks me. Don't I have the right to?

I asked the seller to pm his address so I can send back his wires. Still didn't hear from him. I'm complying with his resolution.

No one is even asking if I'm happy with the resolution, basically I spent $16 plus whatever it will cost to ship the wires back for absolutely nothing besides scrutiny.

What does immaturity have to do with any of this? Immature would be if I were name calling, putting the seller on blast and blabbing about how I feel I've been beat.

I think I acted very mature in my actions, I waited as long as I wanted to with no resolution, so I'm here in public. Sounds similar to the way the US legal system works in some cases... no? Decide in front of mediators, I think it has been proven to work. Is the US legal system immature?? It sure works better than some others in the world. Don't you think?

Should I have jumped the gun and stoned the seller because I thought he robbed me? Or should I sit back and just take it lying down?? Sorry neither would be my personality.

The seller mentioned in his response that he did get my PM sat night about my frustrations, I posted this on Monday. There was a day in between with no communication back form the seller, and about 3-4 days before that with no rapport back and forth.

I stand by my actions, and I will defend myself when I feel I am being innapropriately scrutinized.

This is becoming a much bigger issue than it's really worth. I'm just stunned that people aren't looking at the real issue but attacking me for bringing the issue public. Isn't that what a public forum is for?? Discussing issues, events, etc.? Geez...

At the risk of dragging this thread out more than it needs to, I have a suggestion.

Check the UPS shipping slip for the package weight. Since the adapter weight is significant it should be clear whether it was in the package.

I'm not asking for you to post the result here. Please take it offline.

Guys can we pls just give it a rest? Ron, seriously keep the wires I don’t want them and don’t want you to spend any $$$ shipping since you’re already out $16.
As far as the 4 to 5 days you didn’t hear from me, re-read my post.
I’m done with this issue, Mods pls close the thread before anyone else waste their time.
This is becoming childish.
