Been playing the odds. Haven't had an accident in years. Have always stuck with 1k deductible + no rental car. I figure to be ahead still.

It makes the math kind of interesting though. A 1k Ded on a 10,000 bill seems like nothing:D, but on 3k?!:(

I have $1k deductables on all my cars since I started driving. You're well ahead of the game in saved premiums etc. A grand is a tough bill to swallow, but just write the check and be done. :thumbup:

Hell, It only costs me about $10 dollars difference for my $250 deductable than if I had $500, and I can't always afford a $1k hit currently... so low deductable for me

When I did the math on 2 cars, making around 24 mos was a break even point.

Anywho.... the days of 51.00 full coverage on the X5 are most likely over.
