Yes, they are on the list to look at. If it was going to be Fulcrum, I would go with the 2 way fit (tubeless/clincher), probably the Racing 3. They are heavier than the Shimano Dura Ace, and a little bit more expensive, but reputed to be good wheels.

Did a quick 25 mile loop last night on the road bike. The DA wheels are still feeling awesome. I increased the tire pressure a little. The first ride I had them around 90psi maybe a little under. This ride a had them around 95psi. Feels good a little above 90psi. Still the biggest thing I notice when riding these wheels is how buttery smooth the hubs are and how free they spin. Going over bumps or transitions in the road at high speed is not jarring at all.

As far as my wheel choice for my mtn bike. I am leaning towards fulcrums over mavics. It seems like the road fulcrums get such good comments. I can only imagine the same technology is going into their mtb wheels.

I was looking at the BMC team machine slr01 today! I think that bike and the pinarello dogma are real nice frames. I think pinarello frames are some of the coolest looking bikes out there.

If I was building a new bike I would go with Zipp 303, clinchers. Tubeless is interesting but I love the look and light weight of the 303. They are also supposed to be reasonably durable.

Expensive wheels. Nice, but expensive. I can get a Fulcrum Racing wheelset, compatible with both clincher and tubeless, 200 g lighter than the Zipp 303 wheelset, for about half the price, locally. Your pricing may be different.

Which Fulcrum wheels are you referring to?

Fulcrum Racing, either the 1 (2 way fit) or the 3 (2 way fit) would work for me.

Zipp 303 is listed at 1623 grams for the wheelset. Fulcrum Racing 1 is 1500 grams. There are several other Fulcrum wheels that are lighter, but not that I need for my intended use. I was confused on the 200 grams, it is only 125 grams.

My LBS has Fulcrum wheels on sale from time to time. Racing 3 list price is $1400, Racing 1 list price is $1800. There is no Zipp dealer, but I have seen Zipp 303 wheelsets advertised at $2600 CDN. Ouch.

Shimano carbon Dura Ace Tubeless are $1700 list price locally (and they go on sale), and are 1460 grams for the wheelset. You save even more without the weight of the tubes, and the Zipps aren't available in tubeless versions.

I spent a grip & then some....one a mtn bike.
Like me post some pics and hopefully you bikes gurus can help me with some ideas on what MODS I need to put on it to help me get back in the saddle....

My gripe is comfort but that may be subjective to alot of things...

A wild guess would be that is 10 years old and I must have put 5-7K into this beast...

No racing here, but we had a 370 km week, over four rides. Off for a couple of days due to air quality (forest fires throughout BC), but planning on hitting it again Saturday morning.

What kind of mtn bike did you get. I am a road/mtn rider. 5-7k.... yeah, thats easy to do when it comes to bikes:)haha
