We are still waiting to see pictures of your new bike, and impressions of both the bike and the di2. Have a great ride.

I am still getting dialed in on the bike and have not been able to get pictures yet. I should get some good pictures from the race this weekend. Here is a quick pic of it after i picked it up (how appropriate, it with the X). It has a red specialized demo saddle on it in the pic. I have replaced that with a white/grey/black specialized toupe saddle. But for now, here is a teaser photo.

I spent a grip & then some....one a mtn bike.
Like me post some pics and hopefully you bikes gurus can help me with some ideas on what MODS I need to put on it to help me get back in the saddle....

My gripe is comfort but that may be subjective to alot of things...

A wild guess would be that is 10 years old and I must have put 5-7K into this beast...

Happy to help, but you may need to translate to English for us older types. I gather that a grip is a bunch of money.

Did you just buy this bike, or did you buy it ten years ago? If so, bikes have come a long ways. Looking forward to the story.

Looks good! I like the white bar tape, but we haven't figured out how to keep it white or clean on my wife's R3. When you take pictures show us how tidy or not the wiring harness is on the di2. Are you cutting the steering tube?

I want a new bike. One like that.

Hmmm, over 1200 views now. Come on people, show us your bikes and tell us where you are riding!

The bike sitting buried.
It was just something I got into....was doing around 20 miles to work and then back each day..

What caught my eye was this killer mtn FS frame that I saw....and I loaded it up with TI seatpost, carbon fiber handlebar, top of the line Shimano gears, I think it's called Chris King Hubs, etc, etc. I'm sure it's probably worth nil these days and that is why I never got around to just posting it forsale... I had these Killer Cateye Stadium Xeon lights that lit up the road like no tomorrow.

Let me grab a pic. Hopefully you guys can post me in a direction of possibly what some stuff I could/should consider swapping out that may improve the ride or you can just tell me the truth...and tell me to start from scratch if I really wanted to get back into biking ;-) I did look at roadies awhile back and I got overwhelmed....with the various pricepoints.....

Dare I even ask.

What costs more. To shave 2 lbs off a bike or just shave 2 lbs off my body.
Who has the handy $ to value calculator ;-)

It seems like they stay pretty clean. I just use a damp cloth with a little dish soap or car wash detergent. I think the tape is specialized classic. It has a good grip to cushion ratio.

I can understand wanting a new bike now. haha. But thats how it goes, us bike nuts always want another one.:) I'm happy my mom taught me to spoil myself!!

I'll definitely let you know how it goes this weekend (both the race and my thoughts on the bike). We weighed it at the shop yesterday. It came in at 15.6lbs. The Di2 group-set is not the lightest, red is lighter. And the Dura ace wheels aren't the lightest in the world. The wires a very tighty. The first thing i noticed with the Di2 set up is how the handlebars flop around when you are moving the bike around. The flop around because the shifter cables aren't up there to provide some resistance. I will include photos of all that.

I will not be cutting the steering tube. Since that picture I have changed the bike a lot. In that picture it had a real competitive stance. I have lowered the saddle a few inches and moved it forward around an inch. I have raised the handle bar as high as i can. So all those spacers that are above the headset are now below. I prefer a more upright ridding position (more relaxed). I am a rider that likes to race occasionally. So, comfort is more important to me.

Right now, I am thinking about getting a hitch for the X so I can travel with multiple bikes. I wont be putting the cervelo on the outside ever. That is way to expensive of a bike to be on the roof or hitch. We have been using my friends truck with a yakima hitch. Its the one that swings out of the way so you can have access to the tailgate. It does a real good job.

Hotter than Hell is in Wichita Falls, TX next weekend and it has been that hot down here. Not looking forward to it at all.

Nice ride. Now remember drive train side out and always against a white garage door.
I am giving you a hard time. I see posts like that all the time on the forums.
