I don't know if I'd call any of them "clunkers"... just more expensive to drive. But this is a case of you get what you pay for. If you want cheap to operate and drive, buy a scooter.

I would agree with the MB and M5 because of their complex electrical equipment and reliability issues. I would never want to own one outside of warranty. The same goes for really any German car because of their excessively high cost

But still, to use the term "clunker" seems harsh, just expensive to drive/maintain.
Sure the MB and M5 can cost more to maintain in 5 years than what a honda civic costs, but drive the civic, then get back in that german marvel... see which one feels ike a clunker!
