on the road again 2009 fall
it's that time again for my migration back to South Carolina - my X5 goes in for it's 'pre-Xcountry inspection' on Tuesday - leaving next Friday and should pass thru Kansas City, St. Louis, Nashville, Chattanooga enroute to Oktoberfest in Atlanta (with a possible stop to take pics of the UP railroad yard in Platte, Nebraska) where I should be on Tuesday 29 Sept thru 4 Oct, before continueing on to SC - if anyone's planning to attend Oktoberfest, drop me a line. Maybe we can create a mini get together. Hope all that rain in the SE has moved on out by then. In the mean time, drive safe and remember my rule #1 - nobody gets hurt

about 2300-2400 miles - a bit shorter than if I was driving I-80 to NJ - of course you can do that much, and more, just in Texas, without ever traveling through a town twice
Went thru flight training at NAS Kingsville - took a whole day's driving just to get near another state. |
Have a safe trip, take some pics!

Wishing you a good, safe trip, Mark!
ChuckTown is still steaming...why not hang around ID a lil' longer? If you get near Waynesville, NC/ BRPkway (western end), drop a dime or PM and maybe we can hook up. Good Luck, mD |
You know winter is coming
When Mark hits the road. Safe travels...
Before you know it, mD will be drugging the cats and packing the fridge. :tsk: |
