Luckily, where I am in Cobb County it has been sunny since yesterday around noon. I had to drive around Atlanta for work yesterday and in most areas where I went you couldn't even find a puddle. Strange to think that other areas were still 4 feet under water.

B/B: I use my 20+ yr old Redmax backpack leaf blower to blow off
the excess water when I wash any of my cars/m'cycles. Knocks off
the beading water, and allows for less toweling dry. 3 car garage
with the doors open and ear muffs on; doesn't bother me in the least!

Yay, the sun is out now and tomorrow. Love to see Carolina Blue skies :) Temps around 30°/85F don't hurt either.

just emailed a friend who lives just east of Altanta - fortunately, he was high & dry

the hills in & around Atlanta tended to funnel the water - said they just opened up the 3 interstates they had closed

The pics in that links looks pretty bad, but not as bad as I've seen. Luckily for me my house was missed by less than half a block from this mess with Katrina.

I hope this never happend again, to anyone. I have friends that lost family members who drowned in the frickin attic!

Weasel, those photos are nuts. So much damage...

I was surprised that people are saying that the flooding in Atlanta was a once every 200-500 year kinda thing.

Flooding here was "off the charts"...
