Is It Ever Going to Stop Raining?

For those of us in the Southeast, it's a freakin washout.
It's been raining, nearly non-stop, here in hillbilly heaven
since last Tuesday; nearly 9 inches of rain, thus far.

I'm hoping our Mtn joint doesn't wash down the slope...

I'd pay for a half day of sunshine.

I guess you guys are getting what we had up here in June. It was a beautiful Memorial Day weekend, and then the rains came. It didn't stop till 4th of July. 26 days of rain in June.

Had local school systems close this morning in the ATL due to flooding.

I think the good Lord is catching us up on 2-3 years of drought in one week!!!

In the meantime, how goes the boat building in the garage?

I read through the FB status mush that 75/85 is closed in ATL, and I'm not missing being at school weather wise... and that said, it hasn't rained a drop in France since I got here! (frappe le bois)

I actually washed the X in the rain the other day, when it had reduced to a medium drizzle for half an hour. And, I also got it re-tired with new Michey Dias, (jury is still out on those, imo). So, I put it back in the garage, blew it dry with my backpack blower, and cleaned it up a tad...just can't get the sumbitch back out in the driveway for a few pics. :yikes:

That reminds me: I gotta dig out those style 69s and clean them up for pics, if you still have an interest.

I have not seen rain like this since Hurricanes Ivan & Frances hit us a week apart, back in 2004. Not windy this time, but serious azz rain fall amounts up here on these 40-55 degree slopes. I may sleep with my clothes and shoes on tonight. Serious stuff.

I am still on the fence about the rims - back and forth since Mich is coming out with the true snow tires in my stock size. I need to talk to my tire guy to see if I can get a break on mounting costs - with these wide rims they charge much more - once in the winter and once in the spring.

Good luck with the rain.
