I don't think you need a local carrier, just call one of the big carriers and see if they have a scheduled pick up in the same area or if they're going through.

Horseless Carriage in Clifton NJ is very good.

I'm shooting to get it into a single trailer, would rather not have it in with other cars where the driver has to potentially load and unload my car several times as they drop cars off. Talked to FedEx, they seemed to have a good set up but no telling how many times the car would be unloaded/loaded and it could take between 7 and 10 days after it was picked up. I can check Horseless Cariage out - thanks.

Horseless Carriage is an enclosed trailer with an interior lift, I don't think they carry more than 3-4 cars at a time.

Good luck.

2010 Cayman with PDK - quite possibly one of the best sports cars of all time. Once I kill my Boxster, I'll be acquiring one... hopefully pre-owned. :D

Oops - classic noob move - replied at the bottom of page 1. Congrats on the Shelby!

Car arrived at the estimated time - Enclosed Vehicle Transport did great job. Took the window stickers off and headed off to the gas station to fill up for it's first ride.

This is an impressive car, high quality materials for the interior, touch and voice activated 3D navigation with SAT, real time traffic, gas prices, hard drive.... Excellent electronics, fit and finish is very good and the sound is very cool. Seats are very comfortable and the steering wheel feels great in your hands. Turn in is (believe it or not) as good as my old 330 ci and nearly as quick as the Viper and you can drive with one finger, very comfortable car.

Oh and it has an amazing super charger whine with 510 lbs of torque just waiting to tap into, with the occasional pop from the exhaust as you down shift. Apparently there are a few quick and relatively inexpensive mods that can push the car over 600hp or closer to 700hp for a bit more and still keep the car under warranty. Don't know if I'll go that route but it's not big $$. For now, 540hp/510tq are plenty.

Break in period is self limiting for the first 5 miles, there is a built in limiter restricting RPMs for the first 5 miles. After that the only recommendation is to not tow anything for the first 1k miles. I'm going to take it easy for the first 250 miles and still not get too far up the revs till I hit 500, I'd like to gradually get to the limits of the car while it is new.

I'm impressed with the "completeness" of this car and look forward to the next time out.
