On our last trip to Scotland, we had a Ford Focus 5 spd manual, wideazz wheels
and tires, and fun to drive. Not at all like the version here in the Colonies.
We did ~1400 miles all over the ol'homeland, from Edinburgh to Oban to Orkney, etc.,
and all points and many islands, in between...

It is a very different and beautiful drive/road trip, when it wasn't raining for about 20 mins out of the 9 days. ;)

as MD says , our versions are made to drive properly , they need to with same crazy corners on our roads .
you will find variations in car setup throughout Europe , British is best .
BMW is the only car maker to come close to knowing what they are doing because they learned to build cars from a British manufacturer .

place 1200 pounds load evenly distributed between axles and the small size Sprinter will weigh the same and drive similar to the X5 .
the UK version Ford Transit handles much better than a Sprinter.

The X5 is a big, big car. One of the more annoying ones to maneuver around the car park when I worked at the dealership. I ended up turning on PDC most of the time because there's just so.......much.......car. Although it's not my definition of a "van" (that's a Merc Sprinter or Ford Transit), it is quite large.

The Brits have been putting out some good cars lately. I'd likely buy a Jag XF over any other executive sedan.

Not a fact. It's your opinion. :confused:

The X5 may be as tall as van, but it certainly does not drive like one. If anything, it drives better than most cars. Then again, that's MY opinion... not a "fact."
