Father Must Pay Funeral Protestors
This is just sick.
Father Must Pay Funeral Protestors Father Must Pay Funeral Protestors - Baltimore News, Weather, Breaking News | WMAR-TV BALTIMORE (AP) -- Lawyers for the father of a Marine who died in Iraq and whose funeral was picketed by anti-gay protesters say a court has ordered him to pay the protesters' appeal costs. Lawyers for Albert Snyder of York, Pa., also say he is struggling to come up with fees associated with filing a brief with the U.S. Supreme Court. Sean Summers, one of Snyder's lawyers, say the decision adds "insult to injury." The two-page decision shed no light on the court's reason for the ruling. The high court agreed to consider whether the protesters' message is protected by the First Amendment or limited by the competing privacy and religious rights of the mourners. On Friday, Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit ordered that Snyder pay $16,510 to Fred Phelps. Phelps is the leader of the Westboro Baptist Church, which conducted protests at Marine Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder's funeral in 2006 in Wesminster. http://www.abc2news.com/media/lib/91...9/Original.jpg |
Someone needs to shoot Mr. Phelps in the head, point blank, at one of these demonstrations.
These cowards would be hard pressed to show up to another funeral. |

This really sickens me. I still can't comprehend how those people could be filled with so much hate. It's really disgusting
|
They're not filled w/ hate, it's more just EXTREME amounts of boredom and lack of having anything better to do by trying to press their beliefs upon other people.
|
What the heck is the world coming to. :dunno: Talk about adding insult to injury ... this goes way beyond.
|
People like that disgust me... I have no problem with their right to protest etc, just chose your place to protest better. A private family funeral should be left alone. But I bet they don't have the balls to do the same protest out front of a military base!

I never, ever, EVER thought I'd say this, but I wonder what Eric5273's opinion is.
:thud: |
the only reason i would hesitate for even a second to drop one of these radicals at the funeral of my fallen family member is because that would get them more publicity, which is exactly what they're after.
These men and women died for america, the country that these sign holding cowards wake up in every day. as far as i'm concerned, they need to be removed. gitmo should be reopened, but as a quarantine for people like this instead. this action has no business being protected by free speech. |
