What's new

• Front-facing video chat camera
• Improved regular back-camera (the lens is quite noticeably larger than the iPhone 3GS)
• Camera flash
• Micro-SIM instead of standard SIM (like the iPad)
• Improved display. It's unclear if it's the 960x640 display thrown around before—it certainly looks like it, with the "Connect to iTunes" screen displaying much higher resolution than on a 3GS.
• What looks to be a secondary mic for noise cancellation, at the top, next to the headphone jack
• Split buttons for volume
• Power, mute, and volume buttons are all metallic
What's changed

• The back is entirely flat, made of either glass (more likely) or ceramic or shiny plastic in order for the cell signal to poke through. Tapping on the back makes a more hollow and higher pitched sound compared to tapping on the glass on the front/screen, but that could just be the orientation of components inside making for a different sound
• An aluminum border going completely around the outside
• Slightly smaller screen than the 3GS (but seemingly higher resolution)
• Everything is more squared off
• 3 grams heavier
• 16% Larger battery
• Internals components are shrunken, miniaturized and reduced to make room for the larger battery

There isn't enough Clorox Bleach on earth to clean the underwear of the dude who left that prototype behind on accident.

On an unrelated note, BMW just dropped it's pricing on 3G/GS snap in adapters. They now retail for $0.01

BREAKING NEWS....

Associated Press... Apple software engineer Gray Powell has been checked into Redwood City Medical Center in order to have an Apple surgically removed from his anus. No word yet on how it got there or if it is of the food or electronics kind. However sources tell us that he finally did get to meet Steve Jobs.

Sucks to be Gray. I think it was a lame move on Gizmodo's part to post this article and the guys name.

Some of the comments in the post really get you thinking whether this was an accident or Apples publicity stunt/leak.

Yes, if this is the new iPhone, it looks great!

This could be second time, this decade, that I get to stand in a long line to buy something... The first time was for my iPhone 3G.

Don't stand in line. Just pre-order the phone. It'll be delivered the day it is releases ready to go.

They'll probably start taking pre-orders early next month.
