But this is not the case as you are saying it is on the decline. I just became a member here, and I am a post whore! lol. But I find it hard to be a verbal slut..... when know one else is talking. I would love to talk about X5's all day, but I would be talking to my self. Kind of a bummer, but I guess the higher price of a X5 is keeping a large portion of ppl away... compaird to a Honda civic fourm.

Just my .02

I agree it is a younger crowd. And yes, many of the younger members post a lot. But if I can generalize for a moment, I think they generally tend to post more about mods, and especially tints, wheels, and so on. I think they are less likely to work to establish a community here, due to both their shorter attention spans and alternate outlets such as social networking sites. That isn't meant to be a slam against youth, but is an observation reinforced by watching my kids (early 20's).

The community that was established here was due partly to a number of members meeting off the site, communicating in other ways than just through the site, and so on. There were articles written, How-To procedures drafted, and so on. I think QuickAG/B says it well. I hope the camaraderie continues here as the members change.

I have got to get to Canada. I must be missing a lot......

I think it's quite amusing that you can "like" and "share" that article on facebook. What a contradiction! HAHAHA.

Sorry

Sorry that I got excited... I had a few posts and they got moved to another area. I felt that I know the great people in the Lounge the best. I was so happy when I bought another X that I had to write it in the lounge only to end up in the E53 forum. The people in the Lounge are very intellegent people that are up to the times and what is going on. I do check the Lounge most days but do not add.

Now I have to agree. Something like that does happen
to me also. You can write something in a forum you believe
should be out front for all to see but your new post ends up
being included at the bottom a previously related post where
it cannot be found.....:dunno:

There can be 50 transmission posts and they are all allowed
to remain but they are not moved. So I have no clue how
decisions are made in this regard....:dunno:

I'm surprised my Verizon/iPad post didn't end up in the Verizon
iPhone thread......:D (Maybe I should check to see if it's still there)...

I may have moved on to a E61, but I check in now and then.

I looked at the 5 GT (hatchback) and it seems to offer very little cargo space and is ugly. When the lease expires on my E61, I may buy it. The twin turbo 6 335/535 has had issues with with the fuel pump and injectors but I have never has a problem. They reprogrammed it on the last service and I now a little more turbo-lag. The car has been great and is much faster than my old X5 4.4. It does not have quite the room of the old X but I get much better MPG (27 Highway 25 Average).

I also recently purchased a Escort Detector and like the auto learn. The leaser warning went off on the NJ Pike while following some other fast moving cars, however the cop never stopped the point car. One the LIE I have past a number of stopped sheriff cars (in the center median) and they never seem to have the laser or radar running. They just seem to sit and watch.

One reason the Forum may seem less busy is the fact that the political section was created (thank goodness).

I was just reading about the Boss 302 and was thinking about big W, wonder if he is getting one?

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying life.
