Don't forget that boss 302 would have a warranty, stress free for how ever long that warrenty lasts.

I am hoping to get a new (or newer) car in the next 6 months or so and I have had my mind on an e46 M3 as it has been a personal favorite of mine since it was introduced, but this Boss 302 is becomming more and more intriguing. I figure I would have to spend $22,000 to $25,000 to get an M3 in the condition I want, plus maintenance in the first 5 years I had the car would have to be about $5,000 to $10,000, if not more. If I can find a Boss for about $40,000 the choice becomes a little harder. I would personally rather have the e46 M3 than an everyday GT, but this Boss is something special, imo.

On a side note, a one of a kind Grabber Blue Boss 302 sells for $450,000 at Barrett-Jackson!:wow:

Since they are so new the dealers are probably holding out as long as they can. Give it a few more months and I would be the sales price is closer to sticker.

That is a great picture - the exhaust is wild looking too.

Yeah, I wouldn't pull the trigger on anything for a few months anyway. The air conditioning went out on my e36 in the fall of last year. Seeing as it has over 320,000 miles on it, I would say it is about time to find a replacement. I figure I will drive it until the weather warms up to where being without A/C is no longer an option, then get something newer. Maybe by then MSRP will be a possibility?

Jordo, you are exactly right. That is what I was thinking.

Just called 3 local Ford dealers. Two couldn't give me any info on the Boss at all. They said they would know more mid-February. The other dealer was able to tell me mostly what I already know and that there are two build dates so far; spring and summer. He is going to get back to me with more accurate pricing and availability, but said prices were in the $40's for the base 302. Laguna Seca's are obviously more.

I don't have any experience buying new vehicles let alone ones with limited production numbers that are in high demand, so I don't really understand is how so many on the Boss forums already have orders placed, yet most dealers can't give out any info at all. With production numbers being limited to around 4,000 from what I have read and demand being so high, this may not even be a possibility at this point.
