ebay newbie question
 

So if the guy only accepts Personal Check or Cashiers Check, how can I protect myself, in the case i dont get my stuff? When would I issue a stop payment on my check? Its not that I dont trust him, Ive spoken to him a few times, its just that Ive been bitten in the a$$ before...

I've been bitten in the ass before, too. Let me just say that I have learned my lesson.

NO protection for personal check or cashiers check- NOT RECOMMENDED
First rule, pay with paypal=credit card only.
Deal with ebay members with paypal accounts only-unless u are a risk taker- :tsk:

If u already sent your cashiers check, just pray that your item will arrive...or you can stop payment on it--then pay the bank some kind of a service charge for it--and be ready for a negative feedback--you will end up losing in the end, so just stick with the first rule.

Ive done the personal check thing before for some software, and some other stuff, but they've always shipped the stuff to me first and then AFTER I received the stuff, I would send the payment. Ill have to see if this guy would be willing to do that. Thanks for the info! :thumbup:

Good luck, but usually sellers would prefer to receive the payment before sending the item. I've tried suggesting such arrangement but i always get a big NO.... so GL to you! happy ebaying...

and if i can`t pay thru paypal?!!

Why don't you find someone from here who lives in the area to go pick the stuff up for you? The guys over on z06vette do that for one another all the time....
