Only thing is, did he live? He spun at least 3 times before he smashed into the pavement. Quite frankly, I'd rather be dead then be paralyzed/bedridden for the rest of my life from an accident like that.

Dammmmmmmnn...that vid gave me the fookin'willes.
After 44 yrs of riding, (42 on the pavement), it is like watching a freaking nightmare.

The proverbial left hand turning idiot will kill you.

I left my scoots parked in NC for the winter. I gotta think about getting back on them, next spring. It is serious crap out there on the hardtops.

Jaba, thanks...sorta, for that vid. Not sure I can look again. Damn, I gotta think about it.

:iagree: That's exactly what keeps me from riding. I trust myself, but it's the other idiots out there that I can't control that will do you in. :tsk:

That video definately should give you pause to ask yourself if it's really worth the risk.

OK - I gotta ask - wasn't the guy on the bike going about 4 times faster than all the other cars in the video? If so, who is the idiot?

Sorry man, my pet peeve with bikers. I know they all don't do it, but I have been cut off my bikes more than I have by cars. It seems like I have more regard for their lives than they do.

No one deserves to get run over, but you have to have some responsibility for oyur actions. And, in case you're thinking I'm insensitive, I had a friend who was killed on a motorcycle, while fully obeying the law, by a tourist who was clueless.

He may be going fast but then again we can't really tell what the speed limit is right? Unless I missed out on something. As much as it bugs me when motorcycles whiz in and out of lanes and between cars, (not to take sides) it seems the white vehicle is more at fault if not, both of them.

Makes you think twice eh, Motordavid? no intentions of scaring you. hehehe. Just take exta precaution. A few minutes of pure adrenaline rush isn't worth your life.

Absolutely, the car is faulty here. The biker may have been lucky enough to have escaped death on this one. We cannot see on the video if the biker is wearing leather garments but he does wear an helmet so he may have ended with only some broken bones or may be even nothing. I have seen accidents of that very same type, where the body passes over the car without hitting it, and where the biker had not even one scratch thanks to the combination of helmet and leather garment.

As a rider, that just makes me sick. As a para medic, I have seen more riders die from mass body truma then head injurys.

The cars coming from the right look as if they just left a green light, wail the motor was approching green at (maybe) posted speed.

I ride, you have to pay attention...I timed it...he had at least three seconds...he was day dreaming and it may have cost him..when you ride you have to assume your not seen. That is the only way that I can get on it every summer.
