God, what a great thread. Now I really want a dog. Excellent pets, all of you.

I think I have you all beat, 1 dog, 7 cats, an african grey parrot, and a prairie dog... all but the prairie dog were "rescued"

Here are a couple, first it Jackson, rescued him a few weeks before I left, Blue Tick, 3yrs old. He is keeping an eye on the family while I am gone. The second is after the wife got the tank set up, she says that it is better than a TV.

I had to put down my 15 year old Sheltie Blaze about four months ago due to Kidney failure...haven't got a new dog but I am just beginning to look at puppies again...I travel a ton for work now so I have to wait until my girl moves in with me at the end of May that way somone can take care of said dog while I am gone...that and I kind of want another snake...I had a 6ft red tail boa (Rain) in junior high and high school...but my apartment in College did not allow reptiles so I donated it to my High School my girl likes snakes as well so we may get a ball python or something because my Boa would have been too big simply based on the fact that she has a daughter that is pretty small so I dont want a snake that weighs more then she does
