Exclamation Another update

Ok, I have fixed most of the issues I think. I still need to refresh to get all of the icons to show up, but page loads are a lot faster now

1. I turned off the firewall with my Anti Virus program, and enabled the Windows XP firewall.
2. I set my User CP to full WYSIWYG. I was at standard editing.

Well...I've also turned off the FW in my AntiVirus prog. and see zero diff, (keeping Windows XP FW up), and my User CP was/is/always set to WYSIWYG.

Still stumbling, here; some "things"/parts/clicks work like "normal"; some are tortoise-like. Some, force me to refresh and/or get lost.

Maybe I've been put on the Pariah Watch List?!

I may call my Fave Barrister in RI and consult him on an age discrimination law suit.

. I don't think AntiVirus FW is the culprit here. Site is much better this am but still not "normal" like before.

guys & gals -- there are only a handfull (ok less than 5) of you that seem to be having problems.

first of all, i will tell you that most of us don't use a software firewall but a hardware firewall, and have no issues.

FWIW, windows/mcaffee/norton (the worst offender IMHO) just prevent us from doing a lot of programming, etc., and do not offer any real protection over a hardware (router) firewall.

that IE error

from vbulletin.org:

Hi, I am unable to click on smileys or any other WYSIWYG features when replying to post, and clicking on the quick reply feature will return me an error in IE, such as 'vbphrase' undefined, 'AJAX_Compatible' undefined, 'vB_Editor' undefined etc

Response:

Your browser has cached the files, please use ctrl+f5 on the page to refresh and clear the cache.

I think you have have to clear your browser and your cookies, and that should clear it up (as far as the editor, etc)..

Other than that, I cannot fix anything that I cannot reproduce, nor identify. The issues with page loading, etc., appear to be DNS related, and the DNS server (our DNS server) is green with no errors reported...

I'm still asking around for help! Bear with us!

thanks

drex

I have no idea what happened with your server, but everything is back to normal again. Lightning fast, all icons appear, smilees load instantly etc...

Harmony has been restored.
