Wireless posts not appearing in forum threads

Jeff and Drex -

Vinuneuro and I both posted wireless replies to the Lounge thread "You are a loyal X5/X3 member (addict) when..." but our messages don't show up in the threads. They do show up in the message tree, but on a branch that appears to be separate from the original message tree. It looks like wireless messages are going off into the ozone.

Screen cap is attached showing message tree.

Regards, Mike

I've noticed the same, but it's only occasional. Wondering if it has to do with a wireless setting, or another process (like firewall busy so it can't screen the data, so it's not sent fully.... Could be either on the forum or network/settings end, and I'd guess it's the latter.

PS- It will always help to Delete Temp Internet files or run Disk Cleanup to make sure the system resources are open for another task as well.
Hope this posts!

Not exactly an apples to apples comparison. If you are connecting your laptop with a wireless card or using a wireless phone as a modem, you would still be connnecting to the normal www.xoutpost.com website.

My missing post was from my PDA/cell (treo 650) going through the wap.xoutpost.com website which is configured for a PDA or cellphone environment. It's not the same website that you would reach from your laptop.

More info - I can view my prior wireless posts from my cellphone going through the website http://www.xoutpost.com/wap/, but I can't see them here.

Thanks for the response, drex.
It looks like I have a problem with MS IE.

Firefox shows my wireless messages posted...

Internet Explorer does not...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I look at the source of this forum page using MS IE, the source code shows that is missing the information to bring my wireless message (#108466) to the screen. Could be a problem with forum software, it could be a problem with my browser.

Are you using MS IE to see my wireless messages? If so, my IE browser must be broken.

Thanks, Drex.

Regards, Mike

Drex -

I hit F5 refresh - no change, wireless post still missing. I also I have my zone alarm set to clean out my IE cache 1/week (those wicked weasel Wednesday pictures do pile up), and IE is set to check for new versions of web pages automatically. I think the problem could be with the java installation on my PC.

Thanks for your help.

Regards, Mike
