why it is only X5 World that drags for me?

I frequent several sites per day, and I only bump into the slowness here.

If it is a ComCrap prob of a dozen plus "hand offs", I understand the lack of speed or, even inablity to load a page...but the myriad other sites I frequent are all coming down the same ComCrap tube to my lil'Joint, and they all Fly.

A mystery to me...

Right now, at 2:45 PM, I could barely get the main page up and, to go to a page of threads to post this message, it took 4 trys. Very frustrating, but I guess it's jes'Me, ;>(

Quite a bit better this a.m. MD, how about you?

UPDATE: I spoke too soon. Back to molassas. Page cannot be displayed when replying etc...

None of this makes any sense to me. Within a week after the new server migration, this site was lightning fast. It's annoying at best now.

No, I have Cox.net. BTW, 20 seconds for this reply window to open. I'm more than happy to give you my IP address if it will help.

California Outage
Dear Clients,

This morning we experienced an outage in California. Depending on the server this ranged from 30 minutes to 5 hours. The Real Web Host server being offline the longest amount of time.
There were two server clients that were being attacked.
Knowing that we have thousands of ips and hundreds of sub-nets it took awhile to find the issue.

Around 3 pm CST today we found the 2 servers that were affecting the network and they have been removed from service. At this time all servers are back up and running normally.

We are sorry for the downtime this caused with your websites.

if your reply window takes long to open, then your 'path' to the server is compromised.

i can't do much with the ip address, but i can reverse ping you and verify your problem. you have an ISP problem.

pm me your ip addy and i'll take a look at this later tonight.

I gotta get a new set of
tin cans & string...

TheX5World site is so slow this
am, I can barely read a thread
and the posting process is nearly
malfunctioning...otoh, some here
would applaud my inability to post, lol!

I've been to a couple dozen sites thus
far this Sat morn, with lotsa page flips,
interior links, lookups, multiple windows
open, etc.

The only laggard/stumbling site is my
Fave, X5World.

Ugh!

It took me over 2 min. to get to the point where I could reply to this message, and I'm connecting at over 7,000kbps. I'm checking in far less often as a result now.

Guys, I feel terrible that you are having this problem. It's even more frustrating because the site is screaming fast for me and I don't know what to do to fix it for you.
