Finally got around to taking pictures of my X5 install...

That is a sick set-up man!! how much did everything run if you dont mind me asking? Looks great and it must slam
|
Looks fantastic, definitely the setup I've always had planned for my X. Did you have to take out your spare?
|
Very nice sound system you've got there, and a very clean install, too.
You may want to check out the ice>Link Plus. :) |
Thanks for the replies,
The setup was about $2800-3000 including all my materials. It was a work in progress so I really don't have an exact figure, it's more of an estimate. The A/D/S comps and JL sub were the bulk of the price. Also, I did remove my spare. I use AAA :) I have been looking at the ice>link plus but I have no clue how transparent it installs when the ipod your BMW splice install has already been done to the factory radio. |
nice clean job:thumbup:
|
Nice touch putting the amps and woofers in the floor; allows you to keep some of the limited cargo space! Is there any way to hide the setup from opportunistic eyes?

It's black with the sport wheels, no exterior pics yet because it isn't clean and I am lazy. I plan on throwing on some zaino this weekend so I will post ext pics later on. |

The subwoofers simply do not distort, they handle any type of bass hit and most importantly they just don't pump out the same low tone. When I listen to live rock it sounds like a real drum that was recorded live. When I listen to electronic stuff like Chemical Brothers or Daft Punk it will get so deep and loud I can feel food creeping it's way back up my throat. :) |
|
Any reason you went with W6's instead of W7's? Did you want more of a SQL setup?

I am a SQ freak, always have been. Also, W7's would require a complete redesign that wouldn't look as good IMO. I don't believe there was enough room for W7's; the JL dealer tried their hardest to sell them to me. :) |
Looks awesome...but I know it must sound amazing, good with the new mods.
