What is the manufacture date and SW version on the tuner? The label on the housing should have this information.

the head 11-14-2006 12:12 AM

it has a manufacture date in 03 I can't find the SW version

Tom can you ship me a newer tuner module and can you get it to me by wed or thursday night? I am in a bit of a rush to get this completed

We need to find your software version. Perform the following steps.

1. Turn on your car
2. If the radio is on, turn it off
3. Turn the radio on
4. Immediately push and hold the SELECT button until the radio serial number shows (5 to 10 seconds)
5. Use the < > keys to cycle through the menu

Move to Software Version (menu after serial number) and let me know the number that appears on the screen. Afterwards, turn the radio off to exit service mode.

Even though you are within the compatibility date range, the problem is your radio - it will need to be replaced with a compatible version. We have Sirius-compatible radio tuners on our site:

BMW Navigation Radio Tuner Upgrade - AUX & Sirius compatible
http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...roducts_id=290

Let me know if you have any further questions.

I can tell you with 100% confidence that your radio does not support Sirius. (I used to have one of those.) You need to get radio PN 65.12-6 927 910 or newer. I think that the newest available radio is PN 65.12-6 988 275.
